Circles for Youth

Our circles for youth utilize the Council format to sit together in an intentional, grounded, and safe space. Through the use of ritual, sharing, active listening, and reflection, participants are able to build a sense of community and belonging. Each circle is centered around a specific topic or theme, but we always give room for spontaneity and for whatever else might arise. Topics include, but are not limited to, mindfulness, managing tough emotions, our thoughts and why they matter, identity, self-confidence, quality friendships, goal setting, and how to let go of tough experiences. Circles will be a good mix of lighthearted fun paired with moments of deeper group work and solo time. Each circle is limited to 10 participants and are held outside whenever possible.

"We gather in council in order to experience the wisdom that is greater than the sum of the individual experience and knowledge brought by each member of the circle. This 'synergistic wisdom' arises in large part from the deep listening that occurs in council."

-Jack Zimmerman The Way of Council
